The short recommendation: Wyzed is the best choice for most Australian NDIS providers that want staff onboarding, training, document collection and renewals automated in one system. Choose eTrainU if you mainly want an established NDIS course library to manage yourself. Choose Cloud Assess if detailed observed assessment, offline evidence capture or RTO delivery is your priority.

Why they are hard to compare: these three get shortlisted together but they are not the same kind of product. Wyzed runs the whole employee lifecycle for you. eTrainU gives you a library your team runs. Cloud Assess is an assessment engine built mainly for RTOs and regulated trades. So the question is not which is best, it is which job you are actually buying for. Here is how they split:

  • Best overall: Wyzed, if you want onboarding, training and compliance to run themselves. It is the only one of the three that takes a worker end to end, from signing the handbook and policies through document collection to role-based training and renewals, without your team touching it.

  • Best library, if you have someone to run it: eTrainU. Long-established in the Australian sector [eTrainU], with a disability library it states is auditor-reviewed [eTrainU], and SCORM delivery into an LMS you already own [eTrainU].

  • Best for watching someone do the job: Cloud Assess, on its published feature set. If a supervisor has to stand there, watch a task performed and sign it off with photo, video or GPS-stamped evidence, it is the better tool.

  • Best for staff actually finishing it: Wyzed, because the training comes to them. One text, one tap, no signing in again after the first time.

  • Best audit track record: Wyzed, on its published figures. 900+ audits supported with no non-conformities related to training (Wyzed platform data, September 2026).

  • Best independent proof: Cloud Assess. It has public G2 and Capterra ratings [G2 and Capterra]. Wyzed does not yet, and we would rather say so than have you find out.

  • Not an NDIS product: Cloud Assess. Its own site lists its industries as vocational education, mining, construction, healthcare, aged care and rail. Disability appears as a course-library tag.

Why trust this comparison?

This page is published by Wyzed, and Wyzed competes with both of the other platforms on it. It is not neutral and we are not going to pretend it is.

So here is what we have done to make it useful anyway. Every claim about eTrainU and Cloud Assess is quoted or taken from their own public material with the date we checked it, and linked so you can verify it. We name what each of them does better than Wyzed, including one thing we do not have at all. We include a section on who should not choose Wyzed. And where we have drawn a conclusion from published material rather than quoting it, we say so in the sentence.

Read their sites too. If anything here is wrong or out of date, email info@wyzed.com and we will correct it.

Why listen to us

Wyzed is a ten-year-old company. For its first six to seven years it built its learning and compliance platform across every industry, automating onboarding, training and compliance for businesses in heavily regulated, high-compliance sectors. For the past three to four years it has focused on the NDIS.

That history is the point. We did not arrive in the disability sector with a course catalogue. We spent a decade working out how to keep companies compliant in industries where getting it wrong is expensive, then brought that to the NDIS with an internal team building and maintaining the modules.

Today Wyzed is used by more than 350 NDIS providers and over 18,000 support workers, and has supported more than 900 NDIS audits with no non-conformities related to training (Wyzed platform data, September 2026). Like every vendor figure in this market, including the two we are comparing against, that is our own data rather than an independently verified finding.

Aaron Price, the founder, has personally run more than 300 implementations, following 500 LMS implementations across ten years.

If you want the head-to-heads on their own, we have Wyzed vs eTrainU and Wyzed vs Cloud Assess, or the whole field in best LMS for NDIS providers.

The ten criteria we compared on: how staff access their training, admin workload, NDIS-specific content, onboarding and document collection, practical assessment, licence and qualification tracking, audit reporting, integrations, pricing transparency, and how long a rollout takes.

Answer these two questions first

Short answer: most providers can settle this with two questions, and for some of you the honest answer is not Wyzed.

1. Do you need ready-made NDIS courses, or detailed in-person assessment?

If you need a library of NDIS training that arrives written, mapped and maintained, that is Wyzed or eTrainU. Cloud Assess gives you the tool to build and run assessments. You supply the content.

If your actual requirement is a supervisor standing next to a worker, watching them perform a task and signing it off with photo or video evidence, Cloud Assess does that better than either of the others and you should look at it seriously. We go deeper on that matchup in Wyzed vs Cloud Assess.

Wyzed does practical assessment too. You can assess a worker inside Wyzed, mark them off and hold the record, and there is a pending-completions flow built for exactly that. What Cloud Assess adds is the detailed in-person layer, with GPS-stamped signatures and offline evidence capture.

2. Are you an RTO?

If you are a registered training organisation delivering accredited qualifications, Cloud Assess is built for you. AVETMISS reporting, USI validation and integrations with aXcelerate, VETtrak and Wisenet are all on its own feature list.

If you are an NDIS provider who is not an RTO, that machinery is not something you will use, and you would be buying a compliance engine for a different regulator.

What is the real difference between the three?

Short answer: eTrainU sells you a library. Cloud Assess sells you an assessment engine. Wyzed sells you the modules and then does the work of running them.

That sounds like marketing, so here is what it means concretely.

With a library, somebody at your organisation assigns the training, works out who has not done it, chases them, collects the licences, tracks the expiry dates, sets the renewals and assembles the evidence when an auditor asks. With an assessment engine, somebody builds the assessments first and then does all of the above.

That person is the real cost of both, and their workload grows every time you hire.

What does Wyzed actually automate?

Short answer: the whole employee lifecycle, not just the training. Eleven steps run from a single trigger, and the provider touches none of them.

  1. Triggered however you like. An API call from your HR or rostering system, a spreadsheet upload, or added by hand. A hire in Employment Hero can start it.

  2. They are added and assigned a role. Everything below follows from the role.

  3. Sign the employee handbook.

  4. Sign the service agreement.

  5. Sign the policies, with version control, so you can prove which version they saw.

  6. Upload every required document, worker screening, first aid, licences, qualifications. The system asks and keeps asking until it is in.

  7. Complete their mandatory training.

  8. Complete their role-based training, specific to that role.

  9. Stay compliant. Reminders, renewals and re-uploads at the right intervals, for as long as they work there.

  10. Audit-ready records produced out the other end, with completions pushed back to your other systems.

  11. All of it delivered to their phone by text. A full launch takes about five minutes (Wyzed platform data, September 2026).

This is the part that is easy to misread as ordinary automation. Plenty of platforms send reminders. The difference is that the signatures and the document collection sit in the same automated chain as the training, so a new starter arrives fully onboarded rather than partly.

Three providers run exactly this today. Home Caring runs about 2,000 staff on Wyzed and does not touch a person. Allara Support Services triggers it from Employment Hero, with completion events flowing back into their other systems. Tender Loving Care adds the employee and assigns the role by hand, and the system takes over from there.

Why is this NDIS-specific rather than generic automation?

Short answer: because a general tool gives you an empty framework and you encode the NDIS into it yourself. Wyzed already knows what an NDIS provider has to hold.

The documents it collects are NDIS worker screening, first aid and qualifications. The policies are signed against the version the worker actually saw. The training is 94 NDIS modules mapped to the NDIS Practice Standards and the Workforce Capability Framework, including the seven new mandatory SIL modules. The renewal intervals are the NDIS ones. The records at the end are what an NDIS auditor asks for.

Cloud Assess can be configured to do parts of this. You would be doing the configuring, and you would be encoding NDIS requirements into a tool whose own industry list is vocational education, mining, construction, healthcare, aged care and rail.

Which is easier for staff to actually use?

Short answer: Wyzed, and it decides more than it sounds like it does. A worker signs in once, the first time. After that every new course, reminder and renewal arrives by text and one tap opens the training.

Completion rates are driven by friction far more than by content quality. A support worker will not remember a password for a portal they open four times a year, and they are not checking email between shifts. Remove the steps and they finish it, which is why providers on Wyzed run a 95%+ compliance rate (Wyzed platform data, September 2026).

eTrainU uses a traditional login portal. Cloud Assess offers passwordless sign-in options and a genuine native app with offline capability, which is a real strength for work in places with no reception.

"I've tried a lot of different training systems in my 20-year career but nothing even comes close to how fast and easy Wyzed is for the staff to use and how easy it is for the admins. We had 100% compliance across 200 employees, which I've never seen before in any system ever. The roll out took less than 24 hours." Chris Lynch, Learning and Development Manager, Family Based Care (about 200 staff)

"I honestly can't believe how easy Wyzed is. We rolled it out to our 50+ team in less than an hour. Everyone completed their training and no one got stuck or had any issues at all." HR Manager, Tiaki Support Services (50+ staff)

Which is better for NDIS audit evidence?

Short answer: Wyzed, on track record. All three can produce records. Only one has a published history of audits behind it.

Wyzed records are mapped to the Practice Standards, reviewed by NDIS auditors before release, and updated when the standards change. We have supported more than 900 audits with no non-conformities related to training (Wyzed platform data, September 2026).

eTrainU maps its disability library to the Practice Standards and states the content is auditor-reviewed [eTrainU], which is the right kind of claim and worth asking them to evidence.

Cloud Assess produces strong evidence trails, but they are assessment evidence [Cloud Assess]. Its own site does not name the NDIS Practice Standards, and we found no NDIS or disability case study on it [Cloud Assess].

How does pricing compare?

Short answer: Wyzed publishes its rate. The other two quote privately for the tier an NDIS provider would buy.

Wyzed is free to start, and the free access is genuinely free rather than a trial. At least a month, and longer if you need it. Long enough to roll out to the whole company in about five minutes (Wyzed platform data, September 2026), give everyone time to complete their training and earn real certificates, and see the system working properly. Unlimited modules, nothing gated, and one-to-one account support throughout.

If you want to stay, there is an optional subscription based on your user numbers: $96 per user per year up to 100 users, $72 per user per year above that, with custom pricing above 200. Everything is included at every level. No credit card, no obligation and no catch.

eTrainU quotes platform pricing privately, priced per learner, and publishes prices for individual course bundles in its course shop.

Cloud Assess publishes "from $600 per month" for its RTO tier. The Employee Training tier, which is the one an NDIS provider would actually buy, is quote-only.

Choosing by workforce size

Short answer: the right answer changes with headcount, mostly because manual admin does not scale and automation does.

Under 30 staff. All three are manageable. The question is whether anyone has time to run it. If nobody does, that is the whole argument for Wyzed.

30 to 150 staff. This is where a library starts costing somebody a day a month. Turnover means onboarding is constant, and collecting documents by hand becomes the job nobody wants.

150 staff and above. Manual onboarding is a role, not a task. Wyzed's workload does not change between 150 and 1,500 because the chain runs itself. Home Caring runs about 2,000 staff this way.

Any size, if you need observed competency sign-off for high-intensity supports, look at Cloud Assess regardless of headcount.

Who should not choose Wyzed?

Short answer: if you need detailed in-person observed assessment, accredited RTO delivery, or SCORM files to run in your own LMS, one of the other two is the better buy.

Do not choose Wyzed if a supervisor physically watching a worker and signing off with photo, video and GPS-stamped evidence is your core requirement. We do practical assessment and sign-off, but Cloud Assess goes considerably further and we are not going to claim otherwise.

Do not choose Wyzed if you are an RTO delivering accredited qualifications. AVETMISS and USI are not what we are built for.

Do not choose Wyzed if you want to take courses out as SCORM and run them inside an LMS you already own. eTrainU states it supports SCORM delivery [eTrainU], and most vendors will not. There is a fuller head-to-head in Wyzed vs eTrainU.

Do not choose Wyzed if independent review scores are how you shortlist. Cloud Assess has public G2 and Capterra ratings and we do not yet.

And do not switch if what you have is working.

Questions to ask all three

  • Can you name three NDIS providers using this, and how many have completed an audit on it?

  • What does the worker actually do to open their first module? Ask them to show it on a phone.

  • Does a new hire in our HR system start the process automatically, or does somebody add them?

  • Who collects worker screening and first aid certificates, and who chases the ones that are missing?

  • Are policy acknowledgements version-controlled against the document the worker saw?

  • What is included at our headcount and plan tier, and what sits on a higher one?

  • How long from signing to our whole team being live, including connecting our other systems?

  • What happens to our records if we leave?

The verdict

Short answer: Wyzed for most NDIS providers, because it does the work. eTrainU if you want an established library and will run it yourself. Cloud Assess if detailed in-person assessment or RTO delivery is the actual requirement.

Wyzed contracts run 12 months, so every customer reaches a renewal decision each year. Across the past 24 months every provider on the platform has reached at least one of those decisions and none have left (Wyzed platform data, September 2026). Nobody is locked in.

The honest way to decide is not to read a comparison page written by one of the three. Run the one you like on your own team and see what happens. Ours is free for at least a month, takes about five minutes to launch (Wyzed platform data, September 2026), and nothing is held back.

Get free access for your whole team, or book a walkthrough and we will set it up with you.

Frequently asked questions

Which is best for NDIS providers, Wyzed, eTrainU or Cloud Assess?

Wyzed for most providers, because it runs onboarding, document collection, training and renewals automatically. eTrainU suits providers wanting an established library they run themselves. Cloud Assess suits detailed in-person competency assessment.

Is Cloud Assess built for the NDIS?

Not specifically. Its own site lists its industries as vocational education, mining, construction, healthcare, aged care and rail, with disability as a course-library tag. We did not find the NDIS Practice Standards named anywhere on its site.

Does Wyzed do practical assessment?

Yes. You can assess a worker in Wyzed, mark them off and hold the record, with a pending-completions flow built for it. Cloud Assess goes further on detailed in-person observation with GPS-stamped evidence.

How long has Wyzed been around?

Wyzed is a ten-year-old company. It spent its first six to seven years building compliance automation across heavily regulated industries, and the past three to four years focused on the NDIS.

How much do the three cost?

Wyzed publishes $96 per user per year up to 100 users and $72 above, after free access. eTrainU quotes privately per learner. Cloud Assess publishes from $600 per month for RTOs, and quotes privately for the tier NDIS providers buy.

Is the Wyzed free access free?

Yes. At least a month and longer if you need it, unlimited modules, real certificates, one-to-one support, no credit card and no obligation. It is free access rather than a trial, and nothing is gated.

Which platform do staff actually complete training on?

Wyzed, on the access mechanism each publishes. Workers sign in once, then every course and reminder arrives by text and opens in one tap. Providers on Wyzed run a 95%+ compliance rate (Wyzed platform data, September 2026).
